We are truely happy to be in the top ten. In the words of Black Hook staff member Minori 'I am puking rainbows of happiness.' Black Hook Press was the only indie in the top ten which is something I would to see change over the next few years. Thank you Gaiman Japan and thank you to everyone who voted and especially all those who voted for Masterplasty! I am attending the 2014 Gaiman Awards ceremony this afternoon so this post is a bit of a cheat and probably reads really badly. Anyway...... All the details are in the flyers below. James Harvey will be in Tokyo for a week from tomorrow. He will be at the gallery on the opening evening, December 17th, from 7.30pm onwards. Signing stuff, maybe live drawing, stuff like that. Please come along and say hello if you are in Tokyo! Here is the sell, "UltraSuperNew K.K is proud to host James Harvey’s first Tokyo show in our Harajuku gallery. London based artist Harvey is a rising star. Harvey is a contributor to Vice.com, heads up the global Bartkira project, and has recently signed with the creator monolith IMAGE COMICS in the U.S.A. His comic ‘Masterplasty’ was translated in to Japanese by Black Hook Press and was a finalist for the ‘Best Translation of a Foreign Manga into Japanese’ at the 2014 Gaiman Awards." http://gallery.ultrasupernew.com/https://www.facebook.com/events/751523641602233/wE WERE FILMED AT kAIGAI mANGA FESTIVAL. pLEASE TAKE A LOOK! |
